Accessibility Information
What
accomodations are there for people with disabilities? Tickets in
Accessible Seating Areas are available for purchase for guests in
wheelchairs or with limited mobility on the concourse level and within
each price for any event. They can be purchased through the Ticket Office
in person or by calling 800-745-3000 or by visiting the nearest
Ticketmaster outlet, or online at
www.ticketmaster.com. Please indicate the need for disability
seating. Wheelchair Companion Seating is reserved for one companion of
guests in wheelchairs. Our general policy for Entertainment Events is
that each guest in a wheelchair is allowed to purchase one additional)
companion seat in the accessible seating area. Additional seats may be
purchased in the nearest conventional seats. This policy may be adjusted
when there is high demand but tickets are sold on a first-come,
first-served basis and there is no guarantee that companion tickets will
be available.
What
accomodations are there for persons with Hearing Impairments?
Tickets are available for purchase (unless not permitted by the tour)
through the Joel Coliseum Box Office or Ticketmaster. Please
indicate the need for visually-impaired or hearing-impaired seats.
Assisted Listening Headsets and receivers for our multi-channel LPB
Radio-Aide - are available free at Guest Services.
Interpreting
Services are provided free of charge by calling the Event Services Director at 336-725-5635 Ext.1571.
To make these arrangements, please let us know at least three weeks prior
to the event.
Can I exchange a regular ticket for an Accessible seat?
Exchangescan be made to accommodate guests with disabilities. If a guest
in a wheelchair exchanges a conventional seat ticket for a ticket in an
accessible area, the Winston-Salem Entertainment-Sports Complex will make
every effort to provide new tickets in the closest comparable accessible
seating location.
Is
assistance available for those with a disability?
Simply notify a staff member at any entrance upon arrival and we
will pick you up in a wheelchair and escort you as close as possible to
your seat, then we will make arrangements to pick you up after the event.
Are animals permitted into the facilities of the Winston-Salem
Entertainment-Sports Complex? Animals are not permitted inside
the building except for those with disabled guests. Please contact
Chris Corl, Director of Event Services at 336-726-5635 Ext. 1571 to set up accommodations.
